Nuvante Technologies Ltd is proud to have been selected by the Bank of England to participate in the upcoming Synchronisation Lab. Through this initiative, we will build and test a solution for the clearing and settlement of new forms of digital money (including stablecoins) and tokenised assets using the RTGS RT2 platform, enabling synchronised settlement anchored in central bank money.

In the Lab, Nuvante will focus on two core use cases:

• Multi-money issuance and redemption
  Testing atomic issuance and redemption flows across different forms of digital money, including GBP-denominated stablecoins. The objective is to demonstrate risk-free conversion and settlement between digital money types, eliminating timing mismatches, counterparty exposure, and liquidity fragmentation.

• Delivery versus Payment (DvP) for tokenised securities
  Testing atomic DvP settlement for tokenised securities (such as digital bonds), where the transfer of the security and the corresponding cash payment are synchronised and settled simultaneously in central bank money. This aims to reduce settlement risk, improve liquidity efficiency, and provide a reusable settlement model for future tokenised capital-market instruments.

Together, these use cases explore how a neutral synchronisation operator can support safe, resilient, and interoperable settlement across digital money and tokenised asset markets, consistent with the Bank of England’s objectives for payment safety and financial stability.
